Kentucky e-Health Network

General Information

Kentucky e-Health Summit - Mapping the Future Please join the Kentucky e-Health Network Board and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) for the 2nd annual Kentucky e-Health Summit.

The Summit provides a unique opportunity for Kentuckians from health care, public health, business, technology, academic, and policy communities to discuss the progress we’ve made and opportunities we face as we work together to develop and implement e-Health in Kentucky.

The Kentucky e-Health Network Board, appointed by Governor Ernie Fletcher, working in conjunction with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), has been given the tremendous task of developing and implementing a statewide electronic health network that is both secure and interoperable. To facilitate the dialog around adoption of health information technology (HIT) and exchange (HIE) in the Commonwealth, the Kentucky e-Health Network Board holds an annual e-Health Summit to bring stakeholders from all over the state together with national thought leaders and innovators. The first annual Kentucky e-Health Summit in January 2007 was a tremendous success!

The second annual Summit will allow state and community leaders involved in e-Health initiatives throughout the state to learn more about the efforts of the Kentucky e-Health Network Board and other national, state and local e-health efforts. The agenda will offer a number of educational sessions including insights on protecting privacy and security and implementing electronic health records, an update on federal activities and plans, and information on various regional and community exchange efforts around Kentucky.

Please join state government, university, health care and business leaders from around the state for this exciting event!
