Committee Information

Economic Development Committee

Charge:  Develop recommendations for the Board on ways to support the development of health IT companies in Kentucky.

Health Information Exchange Committee

Charge:  Assist with incubating new regional and local health information exchanges (RHIOs / HIE); assist with planning and convening local stakeholder meetings in 2007 around the state; dealing with collaborative issues related to health information exchange.

Health IT Adoption Committee

Charge: Develop recommendations for tools, publications, technical support and incentives that will assist providers and clinicians with adopting health IT in clinical settings; oversee the execution of the Needs Assessment and e-Health Inventory and health IT Tool Kit development.

Privacy and Security Committee

Charge:  Assist and provide recommendations to the Board on HIPAA compliance and other privacy and security protections needed for Board projects as well as collaboratively across organizations in Kentucky’s health care system related to e-health.
